Scott and Tiller previously collaborated on "first take" from the first's 2016 album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, but that's not the last take fans will ever hear from them. Scott and Chase B previewed Tiller's unreleased track "Blunt Talk," featuring Scott, as well as Scott's temporarily unnamed collaboration with 21 Savage. The UK-born rapper was previously featured on a separate Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight track titled "outside."
Piggybacking off of Scott's point about creativity, Tiller mused about how his daughter sparks inspiration for him in the studio. "My daughter's super creative, man. And she'll be giving me ideas for crazy stuff. Listen to my music in the studio and vibe with me," he said. "It's crazy what's going on though, especially back in my hometown. You all know they just calling Louisville the epicenter for what's going on with Breonna Taylor and everything that happened. And man, I ain't never seen nothing like it happen in my life. I was just like, 'Wow.' I'm 27 years old. I been dealt with racism plenty of times. You know what I mean? Growing up, walking down the street, just normal. It was normal to me."
Amidst celebrating the fifth anniversary of his Trapsoul debut album and promoting his third LP Anniversary last week, the R&B star turned his billboard campaign around to remember the late 26-year-old EMT instead. "Dear Breonna Taylor, you've brought the city of Louisville together like I've never seen before and we will never forget you... -Bryson Tiller," one of the billboards reads, along with the tags #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor and #SayHerName. He also penned a lengthy social media post about the racism he experienced while growing up in Kentucky.
"We need that justice for that for sure more than ever, man. But we going to keep fighting, and that's why we got to get out and vote," the Astroworld rapper concluded. "That's why we got to get out and as the youth and as us being the future to what this world got to hold, man. We got the voice, we got the power to change all this sh--, so we got to use that and put our foot on that next, man, because you got to make this sh-- come to a halt at some point."
