But Lizzo was on vacation, unfortunately.

As if there weren't already enough leading ladies in the "WAP" video, Cardi B revealed in an interview with Hot 97 that there was one more A-lister she wanted in the clip.

“I’m cool with Lizzo and everything. Like, we’ve been sending DMs to each other and all that. But she was on vacation and she wasn’t in town," Cardi told the station about how the cameo from the "Juice" star slipped through her fingers.

"I was like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ because I had a whole vision about how I want to see Lizzo and everything," she continued. The visual for the song is already packed with guest stars -- including Kylie Jenner, Normani and Doja Cat -- and Cardi said it was important for her to showcase fellow bosses. “It was so important to me to include different women that are different races and come from different backgrounds, but are so powerful and influential," she said.

Cardi also told Hot 97's Nessa that she's been a bit surprised at the backlash "WAP" has gotten for its explicit lyrics, citing previous hardcore songs from Khia, Trina and Lil Kim as examples. In fact, Cardi said, Jacki-O's 2004 song "P---y (Real Good)" is probably the raunchiest song she's ever heard. Singing a bit of it, Cardi noted, "I just grew up listening to those types [of songs] and y'all think this is super, super, super nasty? I don't thing so."

Watch Cardi talk about the pressure to come up with a new hit, motherhood, the criticism of "WAP" and why she was totally fine spending $100K on coronavirus tests for the song's visual below.
