Warning: This article contains graphic images of a gunshot wound.

A month after Megan Thee Stallion was allegedly shot in the foot by Tory Lanez, she posted images taken at the hospital following her surgery.

On Wednesday (Aug. 19), she shared graphic images of criss-cross stitches in her heel and the doctors inspecting them. Megan posted a statement along with the graphic images that showed what happened when she was shot and why she wanted to explain herself, after people questioned how she was able to celebrate her new No. 1 collaboration with Cardi B when "WAP" opened atop the Billboard Hot 100 this week (dated Aug. 22).

"Lol what I have learned abt majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the sh-- YALL make up," she wrote in the caption. "I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK. why would I lie abt getting shot? Why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in the bed sad ? Why y’all upset that I can walk ?"

She continued: "I got my stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to go celebrate WAP going number1... I usually don’t address internet bullsh-- but y’all people are so sick! God was really watching over me and I’m healing so well! Sorry I’m not as sad and miserable as a lot of y’all lol but ima keep being Megan Thee Mf STALLION."

The 25-year-old rapper shared her first statement about the shooting on July 15, three days after she suffered "multiple gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me." On July 12, TMZ initially reported that police found and arrested Lanez on a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, where Megan (real name Megan Pete) and another woman were inside, after officers received a disturbance call at 4 a.m. in the Hollywood Hills.

According to TMZ, an argument ensued and someone fired shots in the air before driving off. Megan was said to have had a cut on her foot from the broken glass of the car.

She later explained in her first post following the shooting that she had not been arrested during the incident but was driven to the hospital to undergo surgery to remove the bullets from her foot.

Two days later on July 17, Megan issued another social media statement after memes about her shooting circulated the internet. "Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own," she tweeted at the time. "It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized."
