Beyoncé will give her fans the keys to the kingdom Friday (July 31) when she drops her highly anticipated Black Is King visual album that she wrote, executive produced, directed and stars in.
Queen Bey invites "today's young kings and queens in search of their own crowns" with a film set to The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack she curated for the Disney live-action remake of The Lion King last year, according to the Disney+ Originals biography. The bio also states that the album's featured artists, which include Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Burna Boy, Blue Ivy Carter, Tierra Whack, Tiwa Savage and many more, as well as special guests will star in the project.
Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong'o, Jay-Z, Kelly Rowland, Pharrell Williams and Tina Knowles Lawson appeared in a previous Black Is King trailer earlier this month. The film will weave in videos for "My Power" by Whack, Nija, Busiswa, Yemi Alade, Moonchild Sanelly and DJ Lag; "Mood 4 Eva" by Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Gambino and Oumou Sangaré; and "Brown Skin Girl" by Beyoncé, Blue Ivy, SAINt JHN and WizKid.
