"You know what? I hate when people, like when celebrities buy they kids jewelry and designer s--t, people be like, 'Kids don't care about that! They only care about toys and candy!'" Cardi began her rant. "Yeah, kids only care about toys and candy, but the thing is, the kids go outside, you know what I'm saying? Kids go to restaurants, kids go to fancy places. Celebrity kids, they go to red carpets."
"If I'm fly and Daddy's fly, then so is the kid! If I'm wearing Cha-nay-nay, my kid is having the same thing," she continued. "It's not up to what the kids like. If it was up to kids, they'd be outside in diapers. No! If I was looking like a bad b---h, an expensive b---h, and I have my kid looking like a bum bum, then you all be causing s--t."
"So I'm not mad that Daddy bought baby a Birkin," she concluded. "She gonna match Mommy!"
In a sweet video the Migos rapper posted to Instagram the day before, 2-year-old Kulture is dressed in a pretty pink fairy princess outfit as Offset presents his little girl with a gray gift bag, which contains Hermes' iconic orange box. As they unwrap the box together, it turns out to be a small, bright pink Birkin bag inside.
"Wow!!! Oooh! OK, girl! I see you, beautiful baby!" Offset coos to the toddler as he hands her the bag. "It's your Birkin!"
Birkin bags are spendy, often with a price tag of $10,000-plus to start. Used bags can be found for several thousands.
Cardi and Offset celebrated their daughter's birthday on July 11 with an L.O.L. Surprise-themed birthday, which Cardi shared on Instagram. Though they partied responsibly, providing Kulture-themed face coverings for guests, the celebration apparently got a bit loud for neighbors, who called police.
She captioned a Stories video showing masked officers arriving at the shindig, "We was too loud, I guess."
