Nicki Minaj visited her home country of Trinidad and Tobago, where she participated in the annual carnival celebration.

While down in the Caribbean, she pledged to give back to her community. "I want to thank you for your work with the girls. I want to thank you for giving them hope and inspiration, and they've even given me hope and inspiration being here today. And I want to donate $25,000 to help the girls." the rapper says in a video uploaded by TTT News. She continued to note that she plans to build a recreation center.

Throughout the week, Minaj has been sharing photos from carnival, including her stunningly intricate costume, featuring blue and purple jewels and feathers.
