Juice WRLD's family has spoken out for the first time since his death.

The family, in collaboration with his team at Grade A, uploaded a statement to Juice's social media accounts on Wednesday night (Jan. 22) explaining that a public tribute in Chicago was in the works along with their plan to share the unreleased music he left behind.

"From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank each and every one of you for your undivided adoration and love for Juice," they began. "You guys meant the entire world to Juice and by listening to his music, watching his videos and sharing your stories about him, you are keeping his memory alive forever. We plan to honor Juice's talents, his spirit, and the love he felt for his fans by sharing unreleased music and other projects that he was passionately in the process of developing. There will be a public tribute in Chicago, details will be shared soon."

Earlier Wednesday (Jan. 22), the Medical Examiner's Office for Cook County confirmed that Juice had died on Dec. 8 due to oxycodone and codeine toxicity. They ruled the incident to be an accidental overdose. He was just 21 at the time of his passing.

Keep an eye out for updates regarding the public vigil in Chicago and when the estate plans to posthumously share some of his music in the vault.
