Bhad Bhabie is stepping away from Instagram, at least for the time being. The teen rapper announced her departure in a lengthy post to IG on Tuesday (Jan. 14) explaining that she would be "taking a small break" to better her mental health.

"Due to my mental health, I will be taking a small break from this app," she wrote. "I hate to say it, but y'all won. Congrats. Mission complete. Y'all made the little 16-year-old completely lose it. Social media has not only made me who I am, but also is every reason I can't sleep at night."

Bhabie pointed to nasty comments following a post of her new butterfly tattoo contributing to lowering her self-esteem and killing her mood for the day. "There's no winning as a celebrity on this app," she added. "Everything I do is wrong."

However, whenever she does decide the timing is right to come back to Instagram, she will have disabled the comment section on all of her posts. It isn't uncommon for artists to take social media breaks, as Lizzo recently announced she was done with Twitter.
