On Sunday night, an overzealous fan rushed the stage at a Future concert in Lagos, Nigeria, in hopes of greeting the rapper.

While performing at the EKO Convention Centre, Future was knee-deep in his headlining performance before a fan scurried his way onto the stage. Instead of allowing the stage-crasher to relish his once-in-a-lifetime moment, a member of Future’s security team swooped in and tackled him. Subsequently, the fan was escorted off the stage following his failed attempt.

This year proved to be a rewarding one for Future. In February, he notched his sixth Billboard 200 No. 1 album with The Wizrd. In an interview with Billboard this month, the Atlanta MC revealed his plans of expanding his reach as an executive for 2020.

“One of my friends was like, 'You do a great job being in the studio and recording a lot; now it’s time to take things to the next level by just being the master of timing -- showing up,'” he told Billboard
