BJ the Chicago Kid performs during NPR's Tiny Desk concert series.

BJ The Chicago Kid took his talents to the NPR offices on Tuesday (Nov. 5) for the latest installment of their Tiny Desk concert series, which released on Wednesday (Nov. 6).

The Chicago native took full advantage of his allotted time by packing nine songs into his 17-minute performance. BJ brought the soul to cuts deeper into his discography like "Church," but also fast-forwarded to close out with the tender "Too Good," which appeared on his 1123 album, released this summer.

The 34-year-old wasted no time in introducing members of his five-piece live band he brought along with him to complement his luscious vocals inbetween tracks. He even relayed that NPR said he possibly broke a record with his nine-song medley performance. "Heard I got the record for most songs performed in under 15mins on @npr’s Tiny Desk," the Motown artist wrote.

BJ gets back on the road later this month with The 1123 Tour, which resumes in St. Louis on Nov. 22.
