Anderson .Paak featuring Smokey Robinson, "Make It Better"

Anderson .Paak stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night (Oct. 3) with Motown legend Smokey Robinson in tow to perform their "Make It Better" duet. The cut originally landed on the California native's Ventura album from earlier this year and the live presentation added an extra layer of glamour to the album version.

With a few backup vocalists and a live band -- including a string quartet -- behind him, a dapper Andy hit the stage draped in an all-red suit, minus his signature beanie hat, which almost made him unrecognizable.

The smooth performance looked as if this could've gone down at a chic jazz club. After about a minute, .Paak welcomed Smokey out to join him, as the duo came together to close out the performance with their soulful order from Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.

Ventura followed Andy's Oxnard album in late 2018 and saw features from André 3000, the late Nate Dogg, Jazmine Sullivan, and Brandy
