Rich Brian & Chung Ha Team Up on 'These Nights': Watch

Rich Brian and Chung Ha have teamed up on their smooth new single “These Nights,” a new song off of the upcoming Head in the Clouds II collaborative album from 88rising.

The hazy alt-R&B song, out Thursday (Oct. 3), features Indonesian hip-hop artist Rich Brian teaming up with the K-pop soloist for the first time, and was released through a hypnotizing music video that features the pair as they speed along a motorcycle, dancing together.

According to Brian, the song grew out of a day’s boredom that drove him to engage in a conversation with Siri, Her style. “After a while I tried to flirt with her to see how she would respond,” he tells Billboard. “And I started thinking of the future when you can have relationships with robots, that's how I wanted this song to feel.”

Working with Chung Ha was “very easy,” he says, adding that it’s one of the things he loves about doing music that he is able to do something unexpected, like working with someone coming out of an entirely different music industry. “We do come from very different scenes but this song with the combination of trap drums and the '80s sounds gives it such a timeless feel and I think it's the perfect song for both of us to jump on.”
