As part of an eventful day three of trial, 6ix9ine testified that Cardi B was part of the Bloods gang during cross-examination looking into his fast rise to fame.
The "Gummo" rapper, however, said he didn't try to copy Cardi's blueprint to achieve his meteoric rise by having members of the gang join him in his music videos. "I knew who she was. I didn’t pay attention,” 6ix9ine allegedly said in court. Page Six reported that 6ix9ine specifically said Cardi was part of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, but a transcript released later Thursday (Sept. 19) shows that he just said she was part of the Bloods. Atlantic Records denied to Billboard reports that Cardi B was a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. "This is not true," a rep said.
Jim Jones' name also came up during Tekashi's testimony Thursday morning. According to court reporter Matthew Russell, 6ix9ine identified Jones as a member of Nine Trey and also referred to him as a "retired rapper."
