Anderson .Paak performs "Old Town Road" in the Live Lounge for BBC Radio 1.

Anderson .Paak put his ranging musical talents on display with his recent trip to the BBC Live Lounge, uploaded on Monday (Sept. 16). The clip finds Andy and the Free Nationals flipping Lil Nas X's country-tinged "Old Town Road" to a refreshing jazzy tune.

With the help of a couple soothing backup vocalists, Andy slows down Lil Nas X's flow to give the cover a more mellow texture, all of while playing the drums simultaneously. He even takes a breather in the midst of the performance to go off on a tangent in a heavy British accent.

The Ventura artist has long been a fan of Lil Nas X, as Andy brought out the Atlanta native during his set at Boston Calling Festival in May to perform "Old Town Road" together.
