Jordan Peele attends the "Us" New York Premiere at Museum of Modern Art on March 19, 2019 in New York City.

WaxWork Records announced on Friday (Aug. 23) that the spooky soundtrack to Jordan Peele's acclaimed horror film Us in now available on vinyl through the label's website. Scored by Michael Abels, the composer took on the daunting task of properly providing the musical accompaniment to Peele's anticipated Get Out follow-up, which starred Lupita Nyong'o and Black Panther's Winston Duke and broke box several office records in the horror category back in March.

Abels used a wide-ranging scope of tunes to fill the ominous body of work, including the terrifying "Anthem" opener, which called on a 30-person choir, the Luniz's Billboard Hot 100 hit "I Got 5 On It," in addition to a creepy re-work of the 1995 track, as well as the Janelle Monáe original "I Like That."

"Sonically, what defines ‘scary’ is the unfamiliar,” Abels said in a press release. “It is the things that we can’t place, and that we don’t expect, that take us to that place of fear. We wanted to really strike terror into the audience. Jordan really loves the sounds of voices, and the human voice is an incredibly expressive instrument that anyone can relate to."
