Shaggy & Nicky Jam Get Animated in Comic Book-Inspired 'Body Good' Video: Premiere

After teaming up on Farruko's 2015 single "Sunset," reggae star Shaggy and Latin sensation Nicky Jam are back to keep the summer vibes going with their new collaboration -- "Body Good."

The official video, which is exclusively premiering on Billboard today (Aug. 20), breaks the predictability of a party-themed visual and transforms the artists into comic book characters. After scoring a woman's number at the club, Shaggy falls asleep and has vivid dreams of traveling with her through a medevial battlefield, an Avengers-esque spaceship and the ocean floor.

"With 'Body Good,' I wanted to create a feel good vibe for the dance floor to celebrate women of all nationalities," Shaggy tells Billboard. "Collaborating with Nicky Jam felt natural because of the chemistry we’ve had in the past, it was like two great seasonings coming together in the pot to make the right recipe. Making the video into a comic book was a creative way to show how everyone thinks of themselves as a hero at some point!"

"Body Good" is the latest single from Shaggy’s Wah Gwaan?! album, released back in May. To coincide with the video, a limited run of the Herø Projects-produced comics will be avaialble on Shaggy’s website. Shaggy was recently cast as Sebastian in ABC's live production of The Little Mermaid, while Nicky Jam co-headlined Mexico's Baja Beach Fest.
