T.I. honored the life of the late Nipsey Hussle on Tuesday (Aug. 14) with the unveiling of the newest addition to Atlanta's Trap Music Museum. Tip hosted an exclusive event to display the fresh installation alongside co-curator James Miller and artists BK The Artist, Dizzy, and Quake.
The three pieces of artwork encapsulated exactly what the philanthropic Los Angeles stood for in his 33 years of life. The labors of love recreated Nipsey's Victory Lap cover, a red and blue Crenshaw baseball jersey, and the third is an angelic portrait of Neighborhood Nip embedded with everything he loves such as his kids, the Marathon Clothing store front, books, and his partner Lauren London.
With Thursday (Aug. 15) serving as what would have been Nip's 34th birthday, there are no celebrations of life co-signed by Hussle's estate going on, as the brick and mortar Marathon Clothing location closing its doors to the public. Earlier in August (Aug. 1), Lauren London reposted a message announcing that construction is underway for the Nipsey Hussle Tower near the Slauson Ave. shopping center.
