Lil Yachty has new heat on the way. During an IG Live session with Trippie Redd over the weekend, the Cleveland native got on his journalism tip and nearly pulled a release date out of the QC rapper regarding his next album, which Yachty says is expected to arrive at some point in October.

The 21-year-old entertainer has been teasing the third installment of his Lil Boat series in recent months. Lil Boat 2 was released back in March 2018. Redd then followed up by pressing Yachty about how he needs to make an appearance on his forthcoming project, whether that comes in the form of something they previously cooked up or a fresh recording session.

The Atlanta rapper previously told Billboard last year that he had a finished joint album with Trippie Redd sitting in the stash, but there's been no update on possibly releasing the collab effort. Elsewhere across music, Yachty teamed up with his "From the D to the A" collaborator Tee Grizzley for "Once Again," which will land on QC's Quality Control: Control the Streets Volume 2 compilation album, releasing on Friday.
