Lizzo headlined Summerfest in Milwaukee on Thursday night (June 28), and after her set, she took to social media to claim that security at the venue attacked her stylist and hairstylist.

Summerfest has since publicly responded that they will be conducting a thorough investigation into the alleged altercation involving members of Lizzo's team.

"Tonight was beautiful. You are beautiful. But the struggle ain’t over," the "Truth Hurts" singer first wrote to Instagram. "Racism and bigotry don’t care if you’re a headliner. If you lay hands on my team again I hope you ready for the wrath of god. Thank you @summerfest. We will be filing a complaint against that bigoted 'security' guard and I hope you’ll be cooperative in seeking justice."

Lizzo then asked fans to send her any footage captured of the incident that she claims saw her team get "slapped" and "manhandled" inside the Henry Maier Festival Park.

"Lizzo gave an incredible performance which she now feels is tarnished by events which occurred during the performance. We do not tolerate racism in any form. We will conduct a thorough investigation," Summerfest responded in an official statement. "While there may be challenges during a performance, we expect those challenges to be handled professionally & respectfully. If those standards were not met, we will take appropriate action."

Billboard has reached out to Lizzo's team for comment.
