Murda Beatz is branching out. The Canadian producer makes his debut as an official artist on Friday (June 21) with his first single in the energetic "Shopping Spree," which features verses from leaders of the new school, Lil Pump and Sheck Wes.

Following a commercially successful 2018 behind hits like Drake's "Nice for What" and 6ix9ine's "Fefe," Murda is ready to take his career to the next level, and "Shopping Spree" is just scratching the surface of what's to come.

"I’m a big fan of the new wave, new age rappers, and these are two artists that I see as the forefront of new rap, especially moshing, festival, that high energy type of rap," Murda Beatz tells Billboard of recruiting Sheck and Pump. "They both know how to get a party started."

The 25-year-old hopes to serve up something different than what the youth is typically accustomed to. "This is the first of many songs I’ll be dropping," he continues. "[I'm] Hoping to bring a fresh sound to hip-hop and help push the sound and the culture. It’s the same approach, but I’m experimenting with new sounds and methods. At the end of the day, I just want to make great music that people love, working with the best people I can. Lots on the way, this is just the beginning."

Look for more heat on the way from Murda in the near future. For now, give the rowdy "Shopping Spree" a listen below.
