While Lil Uzi Vert remains entangled in label issues with Generation Now, he's managed to have some form of musical output during the first half of 2019. On Friday (June 21), Uzi reunited with frequent collaborator TM88 of 808 Mafia for "Slayerr," which had been teased by the producer back in April.

"She's in love with a rager/She's a rockstar, everybody said 'Don't date her' (Come on)/ I'm no dummy, no I do not have a cape, sir (Oh yeah)/ I just wanted to have my way, didn't mean to save her," Uzi raps in a rage to hold down the chorus.

"Slayerr" is slated to land on TM88's upcoming 88 Effect album. He spoke in more detail about the project with HotNewHipHop earlier this week. "88 Effect is coming out. I’ve got a gang of artists on there, but it’s a different vibe. I think the people are going to like it when it comes out. I took my time on it. I made sure everything was legit and on point," the "XO Tour Llif3" co-producer explained. "I want more number ones. I want more top ten. More platinum records."

With Eternal Atake remaining in the stash, this should hold over fans for now. Listen to "Slayerr" below.
