Rihanna On How Her New Fenty Line Fits Many Body Types: 'I Want Women to Feel Confident in My Stuff'

Rihanna has one goal in mind for her new Release 6-19 collection: to make women feel comfortable in their Fenty gear.

"We have our fit models, which is the standard size from factories, you just get your samples made in one size. But then, I want to see it on my body, I want to see it on a curvy girl with thighs and a little bit of booty and hips," Rihanna told E! News at the Fenty pop-up shop at The Webster in New York earlier this week. "And now I have boobs that I never had before...you know, I don't even know how to sleep sometimes, it's challenging, so imagine getting dressed."

"We just always try to push ourselves. We pride ourselves in challenging ourselves to do better and push ourselves further, and how can we get our message across in a more impactful way?" RiRi said.

The collection, available on the Fenty site now, includes a $490 tank dresses with Japanese print-inspired patterns, to a $560 pink drawstring satin dress, $590 strappy sandals, $380 hoop earrings, $420 sunglasses and a $230 oversized "Barbados" t-shirt.

The 31 year-old singer was recently named the world's richest female musician thanks to a reported $600 million fortune amassed largely through her savvy move into fashion and a partnership with French luxury goods giant LVMH. In aiming her various lingerie, beauty and clothing lines at a wider audience than the traditional fashion houses have typically targeted, Rih is making a statement, but also recognizing her own needs.

"It's all of these things I take into consideration, because I want women to feel confident in my stuff," Rihanna said.
