Here's everything we know about Future's Save Me EP.
Seven Tracks Total
When Save Me releases, it will be Future's first official solo EP in his discography -- the only other being a 2016 joint project with Gucci Mane, where the ATL trailblazers teamed up for Free Bricks 2: Zone 6 Edition. Epic Records made the track listing public on Thursday (June 6), as the new EP will boast 7 tracks in total. The press release says to expect Future to widen "the scope of his signature sound through integration of icy guitars and sparse beats." There is no word as to if there's any featured artists on the project.
1. "XanaX Damage"
2. "St. Lucia"
3. "Please Tell Me"
5. "Government Official"
7. "Love Thy Enemies "
"XanaX Damage" Brings Out the Crooning Future
At the top of the week (June 3), Future unleashed a teaser to what we can now confirm as "XanaX Damage." The 35-year-old warbles about his Xanax addiction in the clip, over icy, acoustic production. A video is also expected to arrive at some point, which will be directed by Henri Alexander Levy. The snippet shows Future crooning into a 2000s cordless home phone.
3. EP Artwork Done by Henri Alexander Levy
Save Me's gothic artwork was done by Henri Alexander Levy in collaboration with his Enfants Riches Déprimés fashion house to properly encapsulate Future's aesthetic for the EP. Levy has previously collaborated with Billie Eilish and Daft Punk in the past. He's also credited with directing Future's "XanaX Damage" music video. The haunting cover art features a charcoal blackboard type of background, and illustrations that include the outline of a cross in the top left.
4. Could There Be More Music on the Way?
Future is always sitting on a plethora of music. It's very possible the EP could serve as an appetizer prior to a main course later in the year. Back in April, Drizzy and Future sent fans into a frenzy when they hinted to fans that they had their sights set on a WATTBA sequel. "It's already cooked up. Top secret," Future said at the time. A news release distributed by Epic Records makes it seem likely that Future would return with more heat following Save Me. "Be on the lookout for more soon," reads the release.
