Lil Nas X has one message for fans of "Old Town Road": you ain't seen nothin' yet.

The rapper -- whose viral hit featuring Billy Ray Cyrus has spent the last eight weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 -- recently spoke with ABC's Nightline about his meteoric rise from humble beginnings.

Less than a year ago, Lil Nas X was a college dropout living on his sister's couch in Atlanta. Now, he's all over radio and performing in front of thousands on stage. But his ambition knows no bounds.

“This is only the beginning. And you know people won't realize that until they realize it,” the 20-year-old rapper told the late-night television's news program. “I knew for a fact that this song would take me to another level but … I can’t say I knew that it was going to be worldwide or nationwide.”

During the Nightline segment, Lil Nas X discusses skyrocketing from a nobody on social media to a rap star, the role social media played in his success, the controversy over whether his song fits into country music, his collaboration with Cyrus, and much more.
