Denzel Curry Announces 'ZUU' Album, Releases New Single 'Speedboat'
Soon after dropping his latest single "SPEEDBOAT," Denzel Curry upped the ante by announcing plans for his fourth studio album early Wednesday (May 22). ZUU is slated to drop on May 31 via Loma Vista Recordings, and arrives just 10 months after Curry's 2018 TA13OO.
The Rugah Rahj-produced "SPEEDBOAT" finds Denzel reflecting on persevering through his life's grim circumstances while growing up in Carol City's Zone 3. "Didn't go to college for a free throw/ People getting killed through the peep hole/ Have your money up before you go to war/ Put the mask on like a luchador/ My dawg didn't make it to 21, so I gotta make it past 24," he raps.
In addition to "SPEEDBOAT," the 12-track effort will also include the previously released "RICKY" from earlier in May. iTunes notes that fans can expect features from Kiddo Marv, Rick Ross, Ice Billion Berg, DJ Sam Sneak and PlayThatBoiZay.
ZUU's artwork finds the 24-year-old embracing his deep Florida roots, as he rocks a Marlins baseball jersey in front of a turquoise lowrider convertible with the album and his name written out in the University of Miami's school colors. Curry will also touring the project as a supporting act on separate headlining treks with Billie Eilish and $uicideBoy$ throughout the summer.
