Joey Bada$$ announced Thursday (April 25) the launch of his new record label, Badmind. The longtime NYC favorite first mentioned the big move via his Instagram story earlier this week, then made the official announcement on Twitter.

"Proud to announce the launch of my label #Badmind," Bada$$ told his fans. "First single from my first artist drops tonight on all streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more."

N.A.O. Quelly’s “Mo Betta” marks the label’s inaugural release. While championing his fellow Brooklyn native and first signee, Bada$$ aims to use his large platform and his newly-established label to give rising artists like N.A.O. Quelly, as well as many others, an opportunity to grow with his support.

Recently, Bada$$ has been making headlines with his newly formed supergroup Beast Coast. The collective is set to make their festival debut next month at Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida (May 12th), then they will take the stage at Soundset Festival in St. Paul, Minnesota (May 26th) and Governors Ball in their home turf, New York City (June 2nd). Beast Coast is also going on their Escape From New York Tour from July 23 until Aug. 25.
