Big Sean Previews New Music in the Studio
Sean Don season looks to be upon us. With Big Sean releasing an album in every odd numbered year this decade, it would make sense for the Detroit native to return with a fresh project at some point in 2019. After enjoying his birthday surrounded by friends and family, the 31-year-old hit the studio with a guest appearance from A$AP Rocky and even previewed new music for eager fans.
The snippet posted to Instagram on Monday night looks to be tentatively titled "More Thoughts" and feature production from frequent collaborator Key Wane. Sean touches on his business relationship with Jay-Z, having Nigerian roots, investing in the Detroit community and his personal growth.
The "My Last" rapper ended his social media cleanse with a three-part video series explaining the obstacles he's had to overcome with his mental health in the past year, dealing with crippling disorders like depression and anxiety. Within his breakthrough, Sean said that he "rediscovered himself" and is now "making the best music" of his career.
