Minaj shared a statement from the promoters shortly after they confirmed the show wouldn't go on, which stated that the Arkea Arena "refuse[d] that the show will take place for technical reasons."
(They added that the tour was mounted in Paris two days before.)
Minaj proceeded to head down to the street to greet her fans, and then recorded a video message to personally apologize to them for the disappointing decision. This is the second time this tour that Minaj and Juice WRLD have had to back out of a gig, as their scheduled date in Bratislava on Feb. 22 was canceled for the same reasons.
"You guys, it's not in my best interest not to perform and lose money and aggravate my fans," she said in between blunt hits.
"I love performing for my fans. I'm more excited than you are before the show. These two cities that had technical issues are cities that I've never been to before, and we tried to add them, but they just didn't have the power in the building to facilitate my show -- and they didn't tell us that until three hours before the show, as opposed to when we did soundcheck and they said it was fine.
"Every artist -- every artist -- has technical difficulties and have to cancel shows," she continued. "I wanna tell you guys that I love you dearly and I really hope to make it up very soon."
Minaj and Juice WRLD's European tour next heads to London's O2 Arena on March 11.
