The past seven days have been a blur for 2 Chainz. Not only did he release his fifth studio album Rap or Go to the League last Friday (March 1), but he also gifted his buddy/A&R, LeBron James, a chain after he surpassed Michael Jordan for fourth all-time on the NBA regular season scoring list Wednesday night. Today (March 8), Tity Boi teased fans with a 33-second clip of his forthcoming video "Rule the World" featuring Ariana Grande.
Clad in an all-white suit, Chainz is spotted kicking it at a luxe basement party with Grande. "Right now, I use love for a medication/ Back in the day I'd shoot Cupid with no hesitation," he raps during his on-stage performance with Grande.
"Rule The World" marks the second collaboration between Chainz and Grande, who first paired up on the singer's "7 rings (Remix)" last month. In a recent interview with Billboard, Grande's producer, Tommy Brown, revealed how he initially landed Chainz on the song's remix. "At first, Chainz wanted me to send him the song, but I was like, "No, we all have to get in the studio together." This was in Los Angeles, and it was really cultures meeting," he recalled.
