Mereba Delivers Silky New Single 'Sandstorm' With J.I.D.: Listen

Singer/songwriter Mereba teamed up with Dreamville's J.I.D. to deliver the smooth new R&B ballad "Sandstorm" to the masses on Monday (Feb. 25). The song is part of Mereba’s upcoming The Jungle Is the Only Way Out debut project, which drops Wednesday.

The slow tune showcases Mereba's talent as a rising artist as she creates a unique alternative R&B sound through her own innovation. The "Black Truck" singer credits Stevie Wonder, Lauryn Hill and Joni Mitchell as some of her biggest influences.

Growing up living in both Ethopia and across the East Coast, Mereba developed her artistry through her personal experiences and translated them into a unique style in her music.

The silky duet also highlights Dreamville newcomer J.I.D.'s skillful versatility as a singer. His musical range is put on display on the track, showing fans a new side of him outside of rapping on his latest single "Off Deez," featuring J. Cole.

Previously, Mereba and J.I.D. collaborated on “All Bad” from J.I.D.’s 2017 album, The Never Story. Mereba is also set to perform on the second leg of J.I.D.'s Catch Me If You Can tour in June.
