With Meek Mill's The Motivation Tour trekking through Texas over the weekend, he was greeted with a special surprise and some Southern hospitality following his Houston show on Saturday night. The Philadelphia native announced that H-Town honored Meek with his own Meek Mill Day in the city.

"Life is a roller coaster! #themotivationtour Houston gave me a meek mill day," he wrote with a photo alongside Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. It seems that the "Going Bad" rapper is being honored thanks to his efforts in helping reform America's criminal justice system following his release on bail last year.

Last month, Mill teamed with Jay-Z, Van Jones, Robert Kraft and more to launch the REFORM Alliance to bring justice to those dealing with the unfair restraints of the judicial system.

When leg two of the Astroworld Tour swept through Houston on Feb. 13, Travis Scott was also honored and presented with a key to the city for his contributions giving back to the community that molded him. "We owe so much to this guy for keeping Houston on the map," the mayor stated, before going on to announce that another amusement park would be built in the city.

Meek Mill's The Motivation Tour continues Tuesday with a stop in Phoenix. Catch some highlights from the Houston show below.
