Tierra Whack teased fans with 15 one-minute tracks for her conceptual Whack World visual album in 2018. On Tuesday (Feb. 19), the Philly native returns with her first "thorough" single in "Only Child," which boasts a runtime of just under four minutes. The tune details her experiences with the selfish individuals we stereotypically believe to be the only child from their family.

"It comes from different real-life experiences that I've had," she told Ebro Darden of Beats 1. "Like dating a guy and knowing this dude has to be the only child. He's selfish and just always wants his way. I'm sure you've asked someone like, 'Hey, are you the only child?'"

Whack was also dubbed Apple Music's newest Up Next artist, following in the footsteps of series alums such as 6LACK, Juice WRLD, H.E.R., Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Khalid and Daniel Caesar.

The release of "Only Child" kicks off a run of what should be a busy first half of 2019 for the "Hungry Hippo" artist, who has major plans in store and promises to deliver new music on a weekly basis. A short film that was exclusively shot on an iPhone XS will also premiere on Apple Music next Tuesday. Whack is additionally penciled in as the musical guest for an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on March 4, where the 23-year-old is expected to debut the new heat with an electric live performance.
