Chance The Rapper Says Next Album is Coming Out in July

Chance The Rapper made his fans' dreams come true on Monday night (Feb. 11) when he revealed that new music is coming soon. Like, this summer. In a sweet Instagram post, the Chicago MC explained that in between getting ready for his wedding and trying to help Amara Enyia with her mayoral bid in his hometown, he's been busy in the studio.

The clip, filmed during a shopping spree at a Barney's store. "I'm just thinking man, like, this is my fourth year... it was the fourth year anniversary of the open mic that I... that my team, SocialWorks has been holding down for the past few years, I'm about to get married," he said, a wide smile on his face. "So many things gonig on and I been making music."

He then mimicked all the people hitting him up in comments asking where the follow-up to his break-out 2016 Coloring Book album is. "Life is good, you gonna get that shit when I'm ready," he said laughing. Cut to a close-up of his mouth saying "July, though."

Chance's manager, Pat Corcoran, confirmed the news in a tweet.

Plus a video of Chance dancing to "Baby Shark" in Barney's.

While Chance hasn't released a full-length solo work since Book, he dropped a series of tracks last year, including "Work Out," "My Own Thing" and "The Man Who Has Everything." It was unclear at press time if the album Chance is working on is his long-in-the-works joint album with Kanye West, Good Ass Job.

He also, of course, appeared alongside the Backstreet Boys in a Doritos Super Bowl commercial.
