Nicki Minaj Takes to Twitter to Pull Out of BET Events & Call Out Grammy Producer

A since-deleted BET tweet referenced Minaj "being dragged by her lacefront" after Cardi B best rap album Grammy win.

Nicki Minaj is done with BET and calling out the Grammys.

The rapper announced Monday (Feb. 11) via Twitter that she is pulling out of this year’s BET Awards and BET Experience, where she was set to perform as a headliner. “Young Money will no longer be apart of the BET Experience or award show,” she tweeted. “Summer Tour dates dropping soon.”

The decision comes one day after BET seemingly shaded the rapper in a tweet celebrating rival Cardi B’s history-making Grammys win for best rap album on Sunday night. “Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront,” the since-deleted tweet from the network read, linking to an article on BET.com about Cardi's award. (Cardi B is also set to headline the BET Experience in June alongside Migos.)

As fan reactions rolled in, Minaj retweeted some of the shadiest responses while also urging disappointed Barbz to get a refund for their BET Experience tickets. According to Minaj's tweet referencing Young Money as a whole, it appears that Lil Wayne will also be dropping out of the live event -- where he was listed as a headliner with the Queen rapper.

Minaj later followed up her initial tweet by sending a message thanking fans for their support of her decision. "I can't thank you guys enough for all the love & support you continue to show me," she tweeted. "To everyone who said something sweet, thank you. Whether I read it or not, I felt it. From the bottom of my heart. I love you so much. So so so soooo much. Stay tuned."

Next, Minaj took aim at Ken Ehrlich -- piggybacking off of Ariana Grande's call-out of the Grammys producer last week -- to claim that Ehrlich was the reason she has never won a Grammy, despite 10 nominations (including two for best rap album in 2011 and 2015). "I pissed off the same man Ariana just called out for lying," Minaj tweeted. "Grammy producer KEN. I was bullied into staying quiet for 7 years out of fear. But I'll tell my fans the REAL on the next episode of #QueenRadio they deserve the truth. Also, CONGRATS to everyone who won last night."
