Rihanna Celebrates 'ANTI' Three-Year Anniversary: 'Music Will Always Be My First Love'

Though fans are feverishly awaiting the release of Rihanna's forthcoming album, many of her avid listeners continue to play back her 2016 opus ANTI. This past Monday (Jan. 28) served as the album's three-year anniversary and today, Riri effusively praised her fans for their continuous support regarding her acclaimed effort.

"3 years old....and this baby is still on the #Billboard200 album chart!," she tweeted. "Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. Music was my gateway drug to every other wonderful aspect of creative opportunity that I’ve explored. And I’m grateful for that. #ANTI #ANTIversary."

"But music is, and always will be, my first love and direct connection to your spirit. I’m blessed to have y’all! One Love always. #ANTI #ANTIversary."

Along with the heartwarming caption, RiRi posted a slew of accolades that coincided with the release of ANTI. Not only did the album go triple-platinum, but it has also spent 156 weeks on the Billboard 200

The album spawned a bevy of hits including her Drake-assisted smash "Work." The dancehall-tinged single rocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while "Needed Me" also resided in the top 10, peaking at No. 7.

Last week, The-Dream injected hope to the Rihanna Navy when he revealed in an interview with Hot 97's Ebro Darden that the songstress' newest endeavor is "nearly finished."
