Late rapper XXXTentacion's son with Jenesis Sanchez has been born. Baby boy Gekyume Onfroy was welcomed to the world on Saturday (Jan. 26), just over seven months after the death of his father.

“XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, and Jenesis Sanchez are thrilled to announce the arrival of baby boy Gekyume Onfroy — born January 26, 2019," the family said, according to a statement published by People. "We’re happy to confirm that Baby and Mother are healthy. Gekyume’s name is derived from a word X created prior to his passing, which means ‘a different state’ or ‘next’ universe of thought. XXXTentacion specifically chose this name for his first born son; his family is honored to fulfill his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love."

In the days following his death, XXXTentacion's mother shared an image of an early ultrasound along with the caption "He left us a final gift." Soon after, she confirmed that they were expecting a boy.

XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was shot and killed on June 18 in Deerfield Beach, Fla., at the age of 20. In July, four men were indicted on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges.
