Update: Billboard reached out to Rae Sremmurd's reps and they confirmed that the group will remain together.
In the midst of a hectic weekend for Rae Sremmurd, Slim Jxmmi took to social media firing off a series of tweets hinting at a possible breakup of the superstar duo. The since-deleted tweets from Saturday (Jan. 12) included him alleging, "I’m not Rae Sremmurd I’m slim jxmmi and ima sink or swim by myself," and channeling his inner-Offset saying, "Y'all won."
The Rae Sremmurd official Twitter account attempted to defuse the fire hours later. "Brothers gonna be brothers. It's SREMMLIFE forever," they wrote. Jxmmi quickly replied with another since-deleted tweet, "Noooosuuurrrr whoever tweeted this get off the Rae Srem page." Swae Lee subtly chimed in on the matter in response to comedian Kenny Knox. "Real Ones Know," Swae added on Twitter early Monday (Jan. 14).
