Update: Billboard reached out to Rae Sremmurd's reps and they confirmed that the group will remain together.

In the midst of a hectic weekend for Rae Sremmurd, Slim Jxmmi took to social media firing off a series of tweets hinting at a possible breakup of the superstar duo. The since-deleted tweets from Saturday (Jan. 12) included him alleging, "I’m not Rae Sremmurd I’m slim jxmmi and ima sink or swim by myself," and channeling his inner-Offset saying, "Y'all won."

The Rae Sremmurd official Twitter account attempted to defuse the fire hours later. "Brothers gonna be brothers. It's SREMMLIFE forever," they wrote. Jxmmi quickly replied with another since-deleted tweet, "Noooosuuurrrr whoever tweeted this get off the Rae Srem page." Swae Lee subtly chimed in on the matter in response to comedian Kenny Knox. "Real Ones Know," Swae added on Twitter early Monday (Jan. 14).

Trippie Redd then left a comment on DJ Akademiks' Instagram page taking a shot at Jxmmi. "He finally realized we only listen to Swae parts," said the Ohio native. A verbal back-and-forth ensued, as the 26-year-old clapped back, "Stay in a child's place," said Jxmmi.

Redd broadcasted to all of his followers through his Instagram stories, "Slim Jxmmi music trash and he a bitch." The Jxmtro artist also responded by posting to his IG story claiming that Trippie didn't want to turn this into a physical altercation. "You can't fight [Trippie Redd]," he wrote

It seems as if all parties involved have moved on and everything is water under the bridge, at least for now. Swae Lee last claimed that SR3MMLIFE 4 was slated for 2019.
