Universal Music Signs Capital Bra, Germany's Most Successful Act of the 21st Century

Universal Music has signed the German hip-hop star and the country's most successful streaming artist of 2018, Capital Bra. Their first joint release, the single "Benzema," from an upcoming album scheduled for release in April 2019, shot to No. 1 of the Official German Charts in the final chart week of the year and despite strong competition has stayed at atop the streaming charts for four weeks now.

Capital Bra was the most streamed artist in Germany in 2018 and the first artist ever to have eight No. 1 hits in one year. With his total number of chart-toppers in Germany, he is also the most successful artist of the 21st century and currently shares the No. 3 position on the all-time list with Boney M and The Sweet. (The the top spots are occupied The Beatles and by ABBA with with 11 and nine No. 1s, respectively).
