Kid Cudi has been open about his struggles with mental health and depression throughout his decorated career, which in turn has inspired fans to seek help to better themselves. Next week, Cudder sits down with Jada Pinkett, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Jones for a candid roundtable discussion regarding mental health. A sneak peek of the upcoming Red Table Talk is premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Dec. 14).

The 30-second clip finds the Cleveland native explaining how he attempted to self-diagnose the root of his unhappiness. "For a long time, I was not happy when I woke up in the morning," Cudi says as his "Rose Golden" collaborator nods in approval. "Just being like, why don't I feel okay? I thought maybe it was stress. At that point, I was doing an album every year, so I thought maybe I was overdoing it and I needed to take a break. It took me a minute to realize there was something going wrong with me."

Another portion of the episode debuted with People on Thursday (Dec. 13), where the Kids See Ghosts rapper admitted to hiding his troubles from close friends. "I was really good at keeping my troubles hidden, even from my friends. I really was good with that. And it’s scary because you hear people say, ‘I had no clue,'" he said.
