Meek Mill takes his preambles seriously. The Philly native did it once again with his inspiring "Intro" off his long-awaited Championships album, which dropped to close out November. Meek returned on Monday (Dec. 10) with the galvanizing visual to the Phil Collins-sampling "Intro."
The 31-year-old candidly narrates his rise from the trenches to becoming the man that he is today, which wasn't done alone. Meek makes sure not to forget about his Dreamchasers crew and their undying loyalty to him throughout his trials and tribulations. The Kid Art-directed gritty clip even sees cameos from Harlem's Melii, who appeared on Championships deep cut "Wit The Shits," Casanova, and Chicago's Lil Durk.
"I just feel like the way it was put together was needed in these times right now," Meek told The Breakfast Club last week (Dec. 6). "Kendrick sells this on his block, J. Cole sells this on his block, and I always just wanted to have my own block. I just think there was a wide open space for someone to do it. This type of music is some shit that a lot of people could relate to."
