Cardi B arrives at Queens County Criminal Court on Dec. 7, 2018 in New York City.

It's been a wild week for Cardi B, or as she puts it, "My life is a movie." After missing a court date on Monday (Dec. 3) that had her facing a potential bench warrant for her arrest, the Bronx native appeared in a Queens courtroom Friday (Dec. 7) for a mandatory hearing stemming from misdemeanor assault charges. She was released quickly without bail. On her way out of the arraignment, the 26-year-old was bombarded with questions regarding her five Grammy nominations, which actually caught Cardi off guard.

"I am?" she replied with a surprised tone. "How many nominations?" she continued as security escorted her outside the courthouse. The Atlantic Records artist had fun with the clip by posting it to social media hours later. "This is not how expected to find out I’m nominated for a Grammy. I need a do over," Cardi wrote.

The "I Like It" rapper then took her thoughts over to Instagram. "I'm telling you, my life is a movie. I work my ass off for this! Win or not, at least I know I had a chance and people was watching and admiring my work. I'm so happy! Thank you," Bardi captioned the post.

That wasn't all this week for Kulture's mother, as Cardi broke the news that she and Offset had split during the wee hours of Wednesday (Dec. 5) in a candid Instagram video. She caps everything off with a headlining performance at Madison Square Garden Friday night (Dec. 7) as part of Z100's Jingle Ball. Cardi B is due back in court next month, according to TMZ.

Check out her reaction leaving the courthouse this morning below.
