Gerald Walker returns Friday (Dec. 7) with the release of his anticipated People Tell Themselves Anything to Justify Everything EP. The four-track appetizer serves as Walker's sixteenth project of his career, but the Chicago native feels like he's just getting going once again.

The 31-year-old reconnected with his roots to find joy in making music once again. "It marks a return to place of joy and excitement that creating making music brings, in which I lost," he tells Billboard of his gradual evolution. "Although this is my sixteenth cumulative release, this album is definitely one of the most special."

Walker's latest project includes the previously released single "Pressure," which calls on lyrical assassin Skyzoo for an assist. Connecticut-bred MC ANoyd makes the lone other guest appearance alongside Gerald on the overzealous "Shoot My Shot."

The Blue Collar Gang artist also unleashed some fresh merchandise over at his online shop, where fans have the opportunity to purchase the physical version of the concise project. "This is the most excited I've been about music in a long time and I'm happy to be able to share with everyone," he concludes.
