Kanye West attends "The Cher Show" Broadway musical opening night at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York City on Dec. 3, 2018.

Following the death of XXXTentacion in June, Kanye West tweeted about how much the fallen rapper had inspired him creatively. Nearly six months later, Yeezy will serve as the lone guest feature on X's posthumous Skins album. The pair teamed up for a track reportedly called "One Minute," which surfaced on the internet Wednesday (Dec. 5).

West opens the rough guitar-laden track with an extended verse, where he seemingly touches on how false rape allegations could ruin one's reputation. "She wanna give you the cookie, you Famous-amous/ She gave you the pussy, but you ain’t pay for the anus/ Now your name is tainted, by the claims they painting/ The defendant is guilty, no one blames the plaintiff/ Gotta say it in Layman’s terms, while you wait on arraignments/ Cause if the jury say you did it, the payment is heinous," he raps.

Some listeners then jumped to the conclusion that Kanye is defending the Florida native's troubled past in some capacity. X's rise to prominence was in part fueled by a disturbing domestic violence case, which was well-documented during his lifetime. Pitchfork obtained recordings that saw XXXTentacion confessing to committing numerous acts of domestic violence.

Meanwhile, a source close to West tells Billboard that the 41-year-old "is not defending XXX or referencing anyone in particular" with his lyrics.

Skins hits streaming services at midnight (Dec. 7).
