Cardi B could become a wanted woman in the eyes of law enforcement later this week. After skipping her scheduled appearance in Queens, N.Y. court Monday (Dec. 3) morning, Judge Sean Dunn declared that a bench warrant "would very likely" be issued for her arrest if she decided to no-show her Friday court date (Dec. 7) once again.
The Bronx native was due in court regarding misdemeanor charges stemming from her involvement in a reported assault that took place at Angels strip club in Queens. Cardi reportedly had members of her team attack a pair of sisters that worked at the club as bartenders for allegedly having an affair with Offset.
"I apologize to the court. As you can see, my client is not here today. It is due to poor communication and poor coordination. This is not an instance where the defendant is elevating her interests above the court or the people," the 26-year-old's lawyer, Jeff Kern, told the court room. "As you probably know, she’s a fairly notable hip-hop artist. I can tell you, my client knew the date, but there was a previously scheduled commitment today and tomorrow."
