J.I.D. made his late night television debut Wednesday night (Nov. 28) on The Tonight Show in support of his recently released Dicaprio 2 album. The 28-year-old served as the musical guest for the night alongside Thundercat and BJ The Chicago Kid; they performed "Skrawberries" in honor of the late Mac Miller.

The shirtless Atlanta native hit the stage in glossy tight-fitting jeans, as the camera zoomed in on the guitarist's Mac Miller tribute tattoo (he was close friends with the Pittsburgh-bred artist). "This is a dedication to a close friend of me and Thundercat's. I just want to say, everybody, check on your strong friends," he emphatically stated.

The Dreamville signee followed-up Thursday morning (Nov. 29) explaining how he hoped to empower women with his performance. "My niece and my mom love this song, I only wanted to empower women in this moment that’s why we decided to perform it on national TV, and we dedicate this performance to Mac Miller our brother. We love you," J.I.D. wrote.
