Janet Jackson Marches Through 'Rhythm Nation' and More Hits at the 2018 MTV EMAs

On Sunday night (Nov. 4), Janet Jackson treated fans with a dance-happy medley at the 2018 MTV EMAs.

Clad in an all-black pantsuit (and no shoes), the global icon honoree set the table nicely with her latest single "Made For Now" sans Daddy Yankee. While performing atop an elevated stage with drummers and torch carriers alongside her, the legendary hyphenate later segued into her classic 2001 single "All For You."

To conclude her buoyant three-song set, Jackson punctuated her sizzling performance with "Rhythm Nation."

After taking the stage, Jackson later gave an empowering speech urging women to stand up fearlessly to injustice.

“I feel moved to speak for women’s voices who have been stifled,” she said. “I am one of those women. Women who have been gagged, both literally and emotionally. Women who have been abused. Women who have been intimidated. Women who have lived in fear."
