Jacob Banks released his debut album Village in conjunction with announcing a North American tour on Friday (Nov. 2).

Inspired by the proverb “it takes a village,” the record explores human experiences, both good and bad, that universally shape our lives. Among others, Village features the recently released tracks "Be Good to Me," "Love Ain't Enough" and "Chainsmoking" and will also count with a tour kicking off in January.

Banks was also named YouTube's Artist on the Rise for December -- the channel's emerging program that highlights up-and-coming artists by connecting them with fans worldwide via different platforms and events.
