Tyler, the Creator Crashes Car After Falling Asleep at the Wheel: Report

On Wednesday, Tyler, The Creator was involved in a car accident, TMZ reports, saying that the Flower Boy MC rammed his Tesla Model X into a parked car and the impact was reportedly so strong that the parked car flew 50 feet down the street.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, Tyler touched on the incident. “My big doopy ass usually go to sleep 10:30 (i wake up at 7 er morn) and guess who wanted to finish music super late and dosed off for a few seconds while driving home, im a dumb ass bitch but lil mama don’t have a scratch im lucky,” he wrote over a selfie.

Tyler also mentioned Tesla CEO Elon Musk and thanked him for supplying strong airbags, which prevented him from getting injured. “I calmly jumped out the back and called the people. thanks elon for the excessive airbags u a qt. good day sir,” he continued. TMZ also noted that the car Tyler crashed into was a Honda CR-V and that the rapper left his information for the driver. No injuries or arrests were made.

Earlier this week, Tyler released his first song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" from the soundtrack to Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch. Before he preps for Camp Flog Gnaw next month, Tyler will showcase his talents this weekend at the Mala Luna Music Festival in San Antonio.
