R&B prodigy IV Jay is taking her talents to Atlantic Records. Billboard has learned that the 16-year-old will be joining an already stacked lineup of artists to assist in taking her burgeoning career to the next level. Coinciding with the announcement, Jay is releasing her major label debut EP IV, which arrives on streaming services Friday (Oct. 19).
Her previously released bold single "Thirsty" closes out the compact four-track effort. "I want to bring back love. We need more positive vibes," IV Jay says of her artistry. The New Jersey native got her start on social media through various covers, but the teen sensation has major career aspirations, which are exuded in plain sight on soulful project opener "Superstar."
The "Pretty Wings" singer also has plans to make an impact in her community, as she looks to inspire fellow women coming after her with dreams of their own. With that said, Jay is calling on fans to join her new IV League initiative, an online and real life group composed of S.I.C.K. individuals (Strong, Intelligent, Confident, and Kind).
