The emerging ATL rapper Lil Baby, "Talia" singer King Princess, and Japanese-Australian producer Joji have all been tapped for Spotify's RISE programBillboard exclusively announces today (Oct. 16).

Standout cuts from each of the aforementioned artists will be strategically placed around Spotify's famed playlists such as the specifically curated RISE playlist. Outside of receiving additional social media marketing and advertising, an original short-form documentary piece that captures artist in their element will provide viewers with a glimpse into the day-to-day life of artists. They will also take part in the Spotify original series RISE Recordings, which gives fans a peak into their creative process.

Lil Baby joining forces with Spotify comes on the heels of his Drip Harder joint album release alongside Gunna, which sold a shade under 130,000 equivalent album units, landing at No. 4 on the latest Billboard 200.

Spotify is always looking for new ways to best their competition when it comes to artist development, and the launch of the streaming service giant's RISE program has given listeners a behind-the-scenes look inside the lives of some of their favorite burgeoning artists such as Jorja Smith and Trippie Redd in the past. The RISE program currently only exists in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, but Spotify is planning to expand into other countries soon.
